I am in the process of starting a new app, I am not sure whether to go for v3 or v4-beta at this stage.
As the migration from v3 to v4-beta seems cumbersome, does it make sense to start with v4? And if so, what would be the rough estimate timeline when v4 may be released?
There are some major issues open, such as retaining scroll position.
Please provide some understanding.
Since you posted this exact same question in the beta announcement thread less than an hour ago, presumably you also read the comment from an official team member which said:
You are not going to get anything more definite than that. You have to make this decision for yourself: everybody has different requirements.
Thank you for the reply, I have seen the official team’s reply.
However I have this belief a roadmap needs to be discussed so anyone starting out with ionic now, would be sure of where to begin.
If the upgrade from v3 to v4 is cumbersome , it seems more reasonable to begin with v4, thats just my view.
However i wanted to know what the official team thinks of it.
