What backend solution would you recommend?

i Love both laravel and node, they both are super amazing and easy to use . I have used both of them and in my experience Laravel is best suited backend for desktop web application and node / Express for mobile apps and Apis . Laravel is a full stack framework and opinionated whereas in Express there are multiple ways to accomplish same thing . Laravel is heavy in terms of memory and cpu unless u use HHVM as compared to node , so powering a backend for mobile apps with node makes more sense to me .

I’ve got a background as a LAMP dev, but have been dedicated js for awhile. I thought about Laravel, but found http://phalconphp.com/en/ to be the superior php framework, both in terms of speed and rapid development.

Its implemented as a C extension, making it super fast with low resource consumption.

I enjoy Node, but I know how you feel about being comfortable with PHP. This framework might be just what you’re looking for to get the best of both worlds.

After reading all the above, I came to know that Laravel and node both is useful for backend, I am OK with both so now tell me which one is the best option for me.

Hey man !

More than 1 year and a half later… I finally decided to use Firebase, and never looked back on that choice. It saved me countless hours of dev.

Good luck !
