Update Ionic Beta 11, good idea?

Has somebody update Ionic to Beta 11? I can’t use “AlertController” and I will try to update. Is recommender? Do you need to make a lot of changes? Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

I assume you eventually will want your app to run on RC/Release? The changes are becoming fewer between releases, so worth rolling up your sleeves and updating. I personally rather do it in smaller chunks rather than across several releases trying to resolve issues.

Good luck,
Chris

Hello Chris! Thanks for reply me  I tried to update with: npm install --save --save-exact ionic-angular@2.0.0-beta.11 @angular/common@2.0.0-rc.4 @angular/compiler@2.0.0-rc.4 @angular/core@2.0.0-rc.4 @angular/http@2.0.0-rc.4 @angular/platform-browser@2.0.0-rc.4 @angular/platform-browser-dynamic@2.0.0-rc.4 @angular/forms@0.2.0 rxjs@5.0.0-beta.6 zone.js@0.6.12

but I have the next error:

npm ERR! Windows_NT 10.0.10586 npm ERR! argv “C:\Program Files\nodejs\node.exe” “C:\Program Files\nodejs\node_modules\npm\bin\npm-cli.js” “install” “–save” “–save-exact” “ionic-angular@2.0.0-beta.11” “@angular/common@2.0.0-rc.4” “@angular/compiler@2.0.0-rc.4” “@angular/core@2.0.0-rc.4” “@angular/http@2.0.0-rc.4” “@angular/platform-browser@2.0.0-rc.4” “@angular/platform-browser-dynamic@2.0.0-rc.4” “@angular/forms@0.2.0” “rxjs@5.0.0-beta.6” “zone.js@0.6.12” npm ERR! node v4.4.5 npm ERR! npm v2.15.5 npm ERR! code EPEERINVALID

Do you know what is the problem? Thanks in advance!

Best regards.

I’d say this is likely to be causing you problems. Your google maps package is looking for a different version of angular common to the rest of the Ionic Package, which has been updated to angular rc4.
