The main file where twitter connect is being called is this function

twitterLogin()
  {
    let loader = this.loadingCtrl.create({});
    this.twitter.login().then((res) => {
      alert(JSON.stringify(res));
      let loader = this.loadingCtrl.create({});
    })
    .catch(e =>
      {
        loader.dismiss();
    });
  }

I’m getting the exact same problem. On Android it works perfectly but on iOS I get the same 403 forbidden error.

I have read that it’s linked to the callback url in the twitter app settings, but I have tried loads of different ones with still no joy. I can’t find any more information on it.

Have you had any further luck with it?

Exactly the same issue. I had it previously running with loadback url http://localhost:4000. However it is now not working and after many many attempts still the same issue on iOS

Any solution found?
I am still looking for an answer

First of all

<plugin name="twitter-connect-plugin" spec="https://github.com/chroa/twitter-connect-plugin">
        <variable name="FABRIC_KEY" value="e52e3203d8bdd69e8aea8e6b7e651dced935f480" />
    </plugin>

Should be like this

<plugin name="twitter-connect-plugin" spec="https://github.com/chroa/twitter-connect-plugin">
        <variable name="FABRIC_KEY" value="XXXXXXXXXXX" />
        <variable name="TWITTER_KEY" value="XXXXXXXXXXX" />
        <variable name="TWITTER_SECRET" value="XXXXXXXXXX" />
    </plugin>

Second of all
It’s a bad behavior to alert the json response, you should’ve just console.log the response instead

Last thing to mention
You should put the

twittersdk://
inside your Callback URL on twitter app console on https://developer.twitter.com/

this should fix the 403 problem

Best regards
