wondering this as well.
Currently I’m using an old nightly with the slide box refactor still present in my project, because the new slide box behaves so much better in modals.
Andrew just came back full time after helping out on the angular material project, so its on our list.
We’ve finished adding major features to ionic and are working on open issues at the moment.
