Issue with ionic <select> - order of characters

#1

Hi,
it seems that ionic select doesn’t like characters like “!” or brackets. See screenshot.

Is it bug or am i doing something wrong?
Thank you.

Try escaping special chars like !:
\!

#3

Finaly tried it but no luck… works in Chrome, doesn’t work on Android 4.3
Could somebody from the ionic team look into it please?

What is the markup for your select?

#5
<label class="item item-input item-select">
    <div class="input-label">
        Select
    </div>
    <select ng-model="myObject.value" ng-options="dt.code as dt.name for dt in values">
    </select>
</label>

.constant("values", [
    {code: "YES", name: "Yes, please\!"},
    ...
])

I had the same issue. This is how i resolved the problem :

In your stylesheet, add :

.item-select select {
    direction: ltr;
    text-align: right;
}
