Can't select form input elements

I have an app with a login form. On my Samsung S3 I have major issues with the form elements:

  1. Cannot select form elements, touching the screen where the element is often does nothing, or selects a different element (as below)
  2. Trying to select a form element like the password box will select the email input box instead
  3. I cannot select the login button, sometimes I have to select well below the login button to activate it?
  4. When I have selected the password input, I can hit backspace to delete characters, but backspace will stop working with chars (up to 4) still left in the password input field and I cannot delete the rest of the input.

Is this a known issue? Does anyone know why this would happen on basic form inputs? I am using Ionic 1.2.4.
