White screen after Splash Screen (the last thing before a release!)

On Andoid only (i am yet to try on Ios, and it not my concern at this moment)

  1. I have the size of the images correct
  2. I have done what the tutorials etc told me to do (i.e. ionic resources --splash)

I removed and re installed cordova splashscreen (https://github.com/apache/cordova-plugin-splashscreen), just in case.

  • Calling: ionic run android,
    YES the splash screen is working!!!

  • BUT when I exist app, I get just a black screen when loading!!! Madness has returned. All i get is a black screen and not the splash screen.

note in resources/android/splash I get all my images intact…

figured it out

preference name=“SplashShowOnlyFirstTime” value=“false”

this is what is was required for me!!!
