What happened to the Picker API?

I’m interested in using the Ionic DateTime Picker for values outside of dates and times. In hunting around the framework documents I found reference to a Picker API that would allow using the picker for other values, as discussed here: http://blog.ionic.io/ionic-2-fixing-date-inputs-for-the-mobile-web/.

However, clicking on the Picker API link at the bottom of the post returns a 404, and I can’t seem to find any documentation on it. Is there a reference or component I can use to develop a non-datetime picker?

Maybe I’m missing something, but is seems like that component is restricted purely to datetimes. I want to be able to use non-datetime values with this picker. Is that still supported?
