Swift open source, linux & IOS

Will there be possible to build to IOS from Linux now that swift is open source?

I don’t think so at least for hybrid apps built on top of Apache Cordova like Ionic apps because the vast majority of cordova plugins for iOS are written in Objective-C not in swift.

Hmm… so this should be a good incentive for the ionic team to re-write some plugins in swift?

It sucks to have OS X device just because one needs to build apps for iOS. I guess building for iOS using GNU/Linux would be a greatly appreciated option. If that option were available, people would re-write plugins for Swift, I guess.
