I realize this is probably a hopeless battle, but an important feature of support forums like this is a knowledge repository. As such, the search feature is very important, so that people can find topics similar to their problem using various indicative keywords.
Time after time, I see lazy people posting image screen captures instead of text, which results in not only the same topic being addressed over and over, but without any real recourse for new sufferers, because their attempts to search are fruitless.
Might it be possible to add “post text, not screencaps” to some sort of official forum guidelines?
