Push notification not working background mode

Hi,

I have followed the step outlined here: http://docs.ionic.io/docs/push-usage

It works OK when my App is in the foreground but I am not getting notifications when the app is not active.

I am generating messages from the ionic.io console and I am testing this with a real device.
Any idea ?

it is working when the App is completely closed. When I leave the app in background, it is not working.

What am I missing ?
