I have an existing Cordova Web App built for Android and would like to change to Capacitor (compiled via Appflow). I’m looking for programmers who have the knowledge and would implement such a project.
I will be happy hearing from you, please get in touch with me if you are interested!
Hi, It’s very interested to me, what is the version for the IONIC? is it angular based?
Hi there,
I would be interested in helping you with your needs. Will DM you the details.
Best Regards,
Frank J

Hi @SNOWMAPS . i have many apps built with ionic capacitor both on android and Appstore. i can help you achieve your goal.
Hello Matthias,
This is Jay from Moon Technolabs! As discussed, We’d love to help you migrate your Cordova web app to Capacitor via Appflow. Our process involves assessing your current app, planning the migration, integrating necessary plugins, establishing an Appflow pipeline, and conducting thorough testing.
Our experienced team has successfully handled similar migrations and can ensure a smooth transition. Let’s connect to discuss the project further!
Looking forward to your reply!
Hi,
I have experienced in building and changing apps. I would like to hear more about the existing app before sharing any suggestions. Please provide the same.
Thanks
Hello, thanks for your answer.
I built the “old” Cordova-Version of the app by myself and it was coded only in html, js and css, so no Angular or Typescript at all - and I would like to keep the App like this. I also have an Web-Version (Backend) of the product, so in future I would like to maintain the app by myself using some of the same functions as on my Web-Version (html, js, css). Furthermore I have to use “complex” Plugins like Background-Geolocation. As I´m not a full time coder and not into Apps (I´m Geoinformatician) I would like to keep it as simple as possible, therefore I decided not to run a local built-environment rather use Appflow. The goal should be to re-code the App using capacitor and all the plugins in a simple way in order to make it possible for me to maintain smaller changes by myself.
Do you feel confident with those details?
What could be the next steps?
Many thanks, Matthias
Hello @SNOWMAPS
Greetings!
Thank you for the details.
I’m confident I can help with the Capacitor transition and plugin integration.
However, the code provided is missing the Android folder. Could you please provide the complete mobile application code, including the Android folder?
This will allow us to proceed smoothly and ensure the app functions as expected.
Looking forward to your response and ready to assist further!
Regards
Alan Jones
The Android folder is created during compilation by Appflow. There is no option to export the whole project from Appflow. So there ist no Android or iOS folder, everything was configurated in config.json.
Regards, Matthias
Hi Matthias,
Thank you for sharing more details about the app.
Here is how I can make it easy for you:
- We will create a simple code base with an easy backend to handle so that you can manage things by yourself effortlessly. We can go ahead with Angular, React or make it any other cross-platform.
- The Capacitor provides many plugins and we can ensure to keep only those which are required and dependent.
- We will use Appflow for the deployment process, so if any maintenance changes are required, they can be easily made.
I would like to see the code base details if you can provide that it would be great to conclude the project in a right and fast manner. Please provide the same.
Thanks,
Mayank
