The animations, in the material there is an underline animation. But ionic input doesn’t have it.
Have you tried position="floating" on the label?
I’m not talking about the label moving, I’m talking about the underline, the purple line that gets animated when clicked.
I’d try looking at some of the css vars for ion-item, --transition maybe or one of the highlight colors
