iOS edge swipe weirdness

I need the iOS swipe on edge to go back gesture but it causing weird animation. Here’s a video showing it:

How do I prevent this from happening?

I love Ionic but when I’m stuck I’ve found that its really difficult to get help, especially on this forum. Can no one point me in the right direction? Do I have to be an ‘enterprise’ customer to receive any sort of help? :\
