Ionic upload error logging in

I have gotten my account and would like to try to test my first app on an actual device. When trying to login using the “$ ionic upload” command I am prompted for my email address and password.

I keep getting the following message:
Error logging in: Error: getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND (CLI v1.3.20)

I have verified my email address and password. What might be causing this?
