Hey there, I’ve been developing an app for 7 months intensively, I decided to go with Ionic because of my Angular expertise. I have to say Ionic is pretty good but it really has its downsides, a lot of the things I couldn’t find proper support for so I just decided to develop almost all systems myself. For example as simple as carousel system for multiple posts, it was a nightmare to work with, so I just decided to write the logic myself and ended up having a smooth carousel for all of my posts, looks exactly like instagram. This is something for example flutter or react native has a working package for.
Nevertheless, I’ve been working 18 hours daily for 7 months, including holidays and weekends. It’s a really clean, high performance, modern, including swipe functionality on almost everything. The app is insanely big though, in content and functions. I can’t really say which market it’s going to be, but it has enormous potential to blow up, really. We are just 2 people working on it, one of them is not a developer. So it’s basically just me doing full stack and everything around it. But it has made big progress.
My question is, is there any recognition from Ionic for stuff like this? I’ve googled and done intensive research on what apps exist that are built with ionic, there is nothing as good as what I am building and the waves it’s going to make (We have full marketing planned out, plus insane lawyers on it). By recognition I mean like an award, or even backing the project with funds. We are not going to crowdfund or go the investor route in this project either, it’s going to be completely ours, but I am just asking because it’s going to pull a lot of attention to Ionic framework if this thing indeed blows up.
It’s just a late night thought that I posted here, thanks for your attention
