New ionic menu bar is not working from android 4.4.3, the screen gets darker and unresponsive when toggle menu button is clicked. When tested with android 7.0 it works.

I had the same problem. My solution was create an Ionic v3 app and migrate manually all components
any solutions with v4?
i jus migrated from v3 so migration back is no solution for me.
