I tried npm install , but got following error

not your answer directly, but seems you are not the only one who faced that issue “not found git”.

does it helps too when you install git?

I installed Ionic2 rc0 on our student pcs at university. ionic info gives Cordova CLI: 6.3.1 Ionic CLI Version: 2.1.0 Ionic App Lib Version: 2.1.0-beta.1 OS: Windows 7 SP1 Node Version: v6.7.0 Starting a new v2 Project ionic start test --v2 results in an error that git is missing. When I add git to the system and include it in the system path, it works. I wanted to confirm if git is a system requirement for Ionic 2 projects?
