Hide or Show sidebar menu item via toggle button from setting menu

Hi,
i am new to ionic i want to design e a news app which gets news via rss feed .
i want a function when certain category of news i want to disable using a toggle button hide specific news category from side menu.

how this can be done.

You can use Angularjs filter to show certain category.
