I looked at the Native FileChooser plugin for ionic2 and noticed that its only supported on android. What other alternatives can you recommend please? I would like to have a file seleciton tool available on iOS & Android.

iOS seems to not have native file chooser at all, so i think my only hope is to implemen one inside the application itself.
Does that one work with android as well? I was looking for using the same api for both platforms.
