Disable emoticons on iOS keyboard

Hi,

I am currently having issues storing and retrieving strings with emoticons into my MSSQL database, and thinking a quick solution will be to prevent users from entering emoticons in the first place.

Is there a way to tell the keyboard to remove that option?
