Cannot open menu in rc.0

I’m running into an issue with 1.0.0-rc.0 where, when I attempt to open the menu by clicking on the menu icon in the header (or by dragging), the menu closes immediately after opening halfway.

Code worked fine in older versions of Ionic. Anyone else experiencing issues?
