I’m trying to create new project with ionic v1, npm5 node 8.0.1
and also problem with existing project in ionic v1, existing project cant build.

Now we only have to find out who in there is requesting node-sass@3.13.1 to be installed which doesn’t work with node8/npm5.
First step I created an issue with Ionic CLI:
(Where we only get the error, but it is not causing it. But because I don’t know what is, this is the best spot to post this)

There is a PR for the ionic-app-base for Ionic v1 which could fix the issue.
Until then you should be able to run npm install gulp-sass@^3.1.0 in the project you created to make it work.
