Building Android release via Android Studio?

Having issues with the Ionic build services. Before jumping into the rabbit hole I imagine this may be, can anyone confirm I can do this? I’ve done it with xCode for iOS in the past no problem, but have no experience with Android studio.

Any resources that can be suggested?

I’m not sure… But I’ve seen a sample building release through Android Studio … Even I’ve to try once and check by importing the android package…
