This repo (there’s a link to it in the Ionic docs), hasn’t been updated in a year. Its iOS portion is broken and there’s a bunch of us poor saps posting issues to the repo.

Any chance the ionic team will update their background geolocation docs? Maybe even build their own component?
I’m the author of cordova-background-geolocation-lt. What do you find confusing about the docs?

I found the ionic native plugin “https://ionicframework.com/docs/native/background-geolocation/”
dont come with “checkStatus” method.
And also, I am not able to confirm the background service is run with GPS enabled.
Do you have any idea on that?
