App on on iPad (ios9) looks huge

Hi I found this older post here about this, but it is not so much the splash screen etc but the whole app looks big.

On an Android tablet it looks fine (it does not look “jumbo”).

I am about to try on ios10 (sourcing a device), but I have a feeling it may be the same…?

I have the following setup…

Is there something I need to do to “enable” for ipad?
