V6: ion-datetime with ion-input

I am experimenting with Ionic 6 (Beta). I would like to have the new ion-datetime in a popover linked to a ion-input.

It is possible but the documentation is not already clear about this point. (https://github.com/ionic-team/ionic-framework/issues/23542#issuecomment-876612489)

Does anyone has a sample code for this?

Hi,
Iā€™m looking for the same solution (I have a form with several inputs, and when I need to enter a date I would like to have the new v6 calendar appears in a popover or in a modal, similar to v5 ion-datetime). Following the discussion.
