I would never save it in the localStorage.

I think the best approach is to save it in the device storage and in the localStorage, save only a reference (the path) to it.

I’m trying to save an image file to the photo gallery on iOS and Android. I’d be happy enough if I could provoke a prompt, such as when you tap and hold an image in Safari on iOS. Is there a pure javascript way of doing this, or will I have to use a plugin? This is perhaps more a Cordova question than an Ionic question, but I was hoping to find an “Ionic-y” solution. Something I could invoke from within a controller, for instance. Thanks for the help.
