I am just wondering if there is any chance of a brighter future with input fields and the keyboard in a web view?
I find the lack of control over it quite frustrating and time consuming in trying to “get it right”. Then it never quite is right.
Android not so bad, but iOS is quite cumbersome!
Is there a way to perhaps completely disable the keyboard and then manually hide and show it as needed with some focus and blur listeners on input fields? - Manually determining if to scroll into view or not?
On iOS, scrolling while the keyboard is open I can sometimes end up with the whole ionic app scrolling off the screen.
And then don’t get me started on numeric data entry!
Just feeling a bit frustrated in being able to get to a 95% complete app, but the last 5% becomes what seems impossible. Was Facebook right ?
Don’t get me wrong - I love Ionic and all the work that has been put into it. And I love the fact I can use web tech and deploy everywhere. It is just those little tiny things that end up causing the entire solution to just not quite meet the mark.
