Tab starter project - on-select for different controllers

Hi,
I’m using the Tab Starter project and trying to hook into the on-select of a given tab. The examples I’ve seen on here uses the MainCtrl that encloses the tab markup whereas the Tab Starter project hooks links the tab to a controller via the stateProvider.

What do I need to do to get my individual controllers hooked up the on-select of the tabs?
