Possible to add an Android Widget to an Ionic app package?

Hi all.

This might be outside the scope of Ionic but I’m not finding a lot of info on Google or SO, so I thought I’d ask here.

Any thoughts on adding a widget to an Ionic + Cordova app package? I’d like to add a widget that is essentially an app launcher, so that users can put the launcher on their lock screen. (It’s a camera app, so I’d like to replicate functionality in the standard Android OS.)
