My app shows black background in the evening

Not really sure what is happening here but when my android phone goes into “evening mode” my ionic app starts looking wierd

There are black outlines between my controls when I turn off night mode it looks fine.

What exactly is happening here and how can I fix it?

It sounds like Android is auto switching your app to dark mode in the evening. Try disabling dark mode by following my post over here - Installed app suddenly becomes dark - #6 by twestrick
