Locale abbreviation Text-To-Speech

Hi, I have a simple problem. I don’t know what’s the right locale abbreviation for a specific country. Where can I look it up? For example I want to know it from Germany, Italy, US, and UK…
Thanks for any answer!

Hello,
try de-DE, it-IT, en-US, en-GB.

Best regards, Anna

Thank you a lot! So the first 2 letters are the abbreviation for the language and the second 2 letters are the abbreviation for the country?

Hello,
each companys etc use different types of codes. So it may helps to know the usage.
My example was MS use for specifing languages with languages-Country.

If you want it iso-like? https://www.iso.org/obp/ui/#search

Hope it helps, anna-liebt

The Android locale documentation would probably be helpful here.

I think this is what you’re looking for, ISO table of languages codes:

Oh man. I haven’t tested the link after I copied it.

try https://www.iso.org/iso-3166-country-codes.html and the go to How can I access ISO 3166? and use the link online… . You came to a searchable and filterable list. Sorry for the useless link.
