When I:

ionic resources --icon --debug
Ionic icon resources generator
uploading icon.png…
Unable to generate images due to an error Failed to upload source image: requires network connection

When I:

ionic login
Error logging in: Error: getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND apps.ionic.io apps.ionic.io:443

When I curl https://apps.ionic.io:

I installed the latest update to xcode, and started a new shell tab and the problem went away.
