Before I run off with angular-snap I wanted to check the status of the ionic side menu.
Is it not ready for testing currently?
I noticed that the components page doesn’t seem to mention anything about it, and this thread doesn’t seem to have a working version: Side Menu With Nested View

Side menus are working, the documentation is located in the controllers section: http://ionicframework.com/docs/angularjs/controllers/side-menu/.
Regarding the codepen not working, it seems the latest release broke a couple of the codepen demos. We are looking into it right now.
