'ionic lib update' doesn't update

Just update to the latest CLI v1.3.22, and I wanted to update my project to beta5. But ionic lib update now just reports that the local version is out of date. Did something change?

Local Ionic version: 1.0.0-beta.11  (/dev.snaphappi.com/_play/scaffold/www/lib/ionic/bower.json)
Latest Ionic version: 1.0.0-rc.5  (released 2015-04-27)
 * Local version is out of date

how about rename or delete bower.json and try again ?

I deleted www/lib/ionic and then ionic lib update seemed to work as before

download the lib and put it in your project
