Ionic and cross walk

Hi guys :smile:

I just ran into the Crosswalk 404 issue… Thankfully there was a post on the forum mentioning a whitelist plugin to get around the issue, but I did find it most odd… Is everyone having to use a plugin just to do a simple HTTP request in our apps? Surely this is about as core as core functionality gets? Why is it broken? What’s the issue there?

Can we disable crosswalk in our apps should we desire to?

I’ve been reading the blog posts as they come out and don’t think I missed anything on this topic, but I would like to know more about it :smile:

It’s not actually a crosswalk issue. It’s actually because to use crosswalk you need to update to the latest Cordova and the latest version moved the whitelist functionality into a plugin.
