[ionic 4 beta 5]Ion-content in ion-menu is taking height as 0

I have a sidebar menu where I am extracting out the sidebar in one component. This component simply has ion-header, ion-content and ion-footer, with some html inside them to show menu and user etc.

If I keep this in app.component.html, the height of ion-content and ion-footer are fine. But if I make another component and use that component, the height of ion-content and ion-footer becomes 0.

Is this expected? Or there is any fix around that.

Did you find any solution to this? With angular 7 adding fullscreen = ‘true’ attribute helped, but since I updated the Ionic to latest the problem reappeared and not going away even with fullscreen. Current Ionic Info:
