How to upgrade to ionic2 from ionic2 rc

I could not understand how to upgrade to ionic 2.0.0 final for a ionic2.rc2 existing project.
Any help?

Read the changelog and go through all the steps for the intermediate releases involved.

I’m updating step by step towards rc6, which is the last step on the changelog.
How to update to Final from rc6? Or am I already there?

I believe the only thing needed to go from RC6 to final is bumping the ionic-angular dependency in package.json.
