Ionic Framework v5 does not currently support Vite, but we will have support for it in Ionic Framework v6 which is currently in beta (ionic-framework/BETA.md at 55bd1f749bac01cc691e16283728c42e755cc706 · ionic-team/ionic-framework · GitHub).
