I believe there is now a consent framework that you need to add - their help pages describe it. Note that just Admob consent framework doesn’t make your app GDPR compliant. You should consider authoring a privacy policy for your app as well if it collects data for telemetry etc. without knowledge of the user, including making changes to your software that may include turning off personal data collection unless its clearly explained upfront with an option to disable data that is not critical to the operation to your app.
