I am facing heating and battery draining issues in iOS while recording audio. I am using a Cordova media plugin. The heating issue starts when I stop the recording and then start recording again. While recording, my mobile CPU usage goes up to 45%

Are you using Capacitor with this Cordova plugin or Cordova? My guess is that it is just your iPhone specs assuming you have an older one (you didn’t specify, so we can only assume).
I’d probably reach out in the plugin’s repo for better support since it is not a Capacitor or 1st Party Ionic plugin.
