External links won't show BACK button on IOS 10.0.2

On an Ipad Pro, with the IOS 10.0.2 the back button won’t show up anymore.
We’re using the latest Cordova and all of a sudden the back button when going to an external link won’t show up anymore. This is using the Ionic linking itself.

Here’s an example of the code:

The app will open the new window but there’s no back button. The code was given by creator.ionic.
