Date Input with Icon

Hi,

I have an item that looks just like I want:

      <ion-item>
        <ion-label>TEST</ion-label>
        <ion-input type="date"></ion-input>
        <ion-icon item-end name="calendar"></ion-icon>
      </ion-item>

Question: My users intuitivly tab the icon to enter a date which doesn’t work. How can I make clicking the icon beeing the same as opening the input?
