Create div without class

What I want is create a dynamic HTML-text under some given condition. However, when I combine a div with *ngIf, the div seems to apply some preset css-classes. Is there either a way to create a div without any css, so I can put my ngIf conition there and not get any visual difference, or is there an even better way to achieve this?

Can you show the CSS-classes that get added when using *ngIf?

ngIf shoudn’t change any visual things except for hiding/showing content.

Well the point is, that I need some place to apply the *ngIf, thus I use a div to to that (I wouldn’t need the div at all, just need it as the container for the *ngIf).

Actually, no class is applied, the div just results in a linebreak (which I don’t want)
