Compressing Images

I’m using Camera Native to select or take photos which are then uploaded to Firebase. The original photos are of very high resolution and are huge (1-3 Mb), can you please advice how to compress/shrink/resize/lower the resolution, to speed up the upload time? Thanks so much!
