Capacitor Camera crashes on IPad after permission Screen

the app crashes and restarts after trying to make a picture on IOS 17.
The PWA Version is working well…

The Permission Screen is shown, after accepting, the app closes and restarts.

        const image = await Camera.getPhoto({
            quality: 30,
            allowEditing: false,
            width: 1600,
            height: 1600,
            correctOrientation: true,
            resultType: CameraResultType.DataUrl

The 3 permissions at info.plist are added. Any ideas?

What does the crash log say? If you are running the app in the simulator and it crashes, the log should be displayed, which will hopefully give you some hint as to what is wrong.

Use X- Code to check the console logs and any error message that can provide information related to this crash error.

I did.

“This app has crashed because it attempted to access privacy-sensitive data without a usage description. The app’s Info.plist must contain an NSMicrophoneUsageDescription key with a string value explaining to the user how the app uses this data.”

The curious: In Debug build, everything works, in Release build not.

Camera plugin doesn’t require the NSMicrophoneUsageDescription, are you using @capacitor/camera plugin or some other plugin?

Only the @capacitor/camera Plugin on newest IOS 17.

I’ve tested the Camera plugin in my 17.4 iPad and it’s working fine without the NSMicrophoneUsageDescription
