Can i remove the splash screen completely?

Hi,
How can i remove the splash screen completely? I tried this suggestion to tackle the problem but now the default splash screen still comes up. I have tried to give these preferences, but it doesn’t work.
<preference name="SplashScreenDelay" value="0"/> <preference name="ShowSplashScreen" value="false"/>
How can i solve this or can i make my splash screen as a gif ?

Yes, i tried every combination of splash screen preferences but no success, default splash screen always comes up
