Black screen of death

Hello every one hope you are having a great weekend , I just started to learn how to use ionic framework and I am watching the pluralsight tutorial video http://www.pluralsight.com/courses/building-mobile-apps-ionic-framework-angularjs,

so once i added my own app.js file and home.html file to the solution when ever i did ionic serve i get a black screen.

i am using Visual Studio as my IDE and Chrome to view the app.

Hello!
Please have a look at your Chrome console.
There is have to be an error message for solving your problem

i did look at the console and its not showing any error messages , i looked at the elements and i have discovered that the header visibility is set to invisible and the background color of the is set to black.

for some reason it is acting weird when i edit and add my own files to the template
